6 held for committing armed dacoity in Outer Delhi

Six members of a gang allegedly involved in an armed dacoity in Narela Industrial Area in Outer Delhi have been arrested, police said today.

Devender (25), Om Pal (32), Satya Prakash (38), Qamaruddin (38), Vijay Pal (35) and Vicky (40) were arrested on Saturday from Rohini and a part of looted articles was recovered, police said.

A tempo used in committing the dacoity was also recovered.

The six accused along with their accomplices had committed armed dacoity on September 2 in a factory in Narela Industrial Area and caused injuries to seven employees of the factory before escaping with the stolen items, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.
 

On a tip off, four members of the gang were nabbed and on their interrogation two more were picked up by the police, he said.
