6 kg charas worth Rs 60 lakh seized from train compartment
Customs officials today seized 6 kg charas worth Rs 60 lakh in the international market from a compartment of Jansadharan Express at Sugauli station in Bihar's East Champaran district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team raided a compartment of Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Jansadharan Express and seized 12 packets, each weighing 500 grams, from a bag, Sugauli Customs Superintendent RB Ram said.
No one was arrested in this connection as there was no claimant of the bag, he added.
