6 killed, 13 injured in separate road accidents in Jammu

Six people were killed and 13 others injured in separate accidents in Jammu region today, police said.

Three people were killed and six injured after a bus, on its way Reasi, skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge in Arnas belt of the district today, police officials said.

In another accident, two youths on a motorcycle were killed after their vehicle collided with an army truck on Jammu-Pathankote highway in Vijaypur belt of Samba district today, police said.

23-year-old Balibir Singh and 22-year-old Rinku were killed in the mishap, they said.

Meanwhile, in the third incident, a car skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge on Doda-Kishtwar road at Kharara belt in the district today, killing a police official and injuring two others.
 

Aslam Din died on the spot while the injured were hospitalised, they said.

In another mishap in Doda, five people were injured after their car rolled down into a gorge at Galandhar belt on Doda-Bhaderwah road in the district today, police said, adding all the injured were hospitalised.
