6 killed, 2 injured in two separate road accidents in Odisha

Six persons were today killed and two others seriously injured in two separate road accidents in Odisha's Angul and Kendrapara district, police said.
Five persons, including a doctor, were killed when a jeep in which they were traveling hit a static truck in Pallahara area of Angul district in the early hours.
The mishap took place when employees of Khamar hospital in the district were returning after attending a marriage ceremony at Dhenkanal, the police said.

Police rushed to the spot and the bodies were taken for post mortem.
In the second incident, a 35-year-old motorcyclist was today killed and two pillion riders seriously injured in Malapatana village in Kendrapara district when an unidentified vehicle collided with their vehicle, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Bauribandhu Sethy, a native of Badamohanipur village of Pattamundai tehsil.
The two injured persons were shifted to district hospital in Kendrapara where their condition was stated to be critical, police said.
