6 UPLF militants held in Nagaland

Six members of the United Peoples Liberation Front (UPLF), a Dimasa militant group based in Assam, were arrested in Dimapur district of Nagaland, police said today.

Acting on specific inputs about the presence of UPLF cadres, Dimapur police launched an operation leading to the arrest of the six.

Some documents of their organization was seized from their possession, police said adding the motive behind their presence in the state is being probed.

They were arrested on September 16.
