6-year-old raped

A six-year-old girl was raped

allegedly by a rickshaw puller, her neighbour, when she was playing in west Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place in Khyala yesterday and the accused Shambu (35) was arrested.

The victim was playing outside when Shambu, her neighbour, lured her into his house where he allegedly raped her.

The incident came to light when the girl's mother saw her crying.

The mother then approached police which took the girl to a nearby hospital where a medical examination confirmed rape.
