60-yr-old man arrested for raping 9-yr-old

A 60-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at Sector 31 here, police said.

According to police, an FIR was filed by the victim's father against one Chedi Lal for allegedly committing the crime yesterday.

The victim had gone to meet the accused's daughter yesterday when she was allegedly raped by him with nobody else present in the house.

A case has been registered in the matter under relevant sections of IPC and the POCSO Act, 2012, police said.
