62-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting minor girl

A 62-year-old man was arrested today on charges of molesting a six-year-old girl in Eluru town of West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, the police said.

Eluru DSP M Sattibabu said that B Nuka Raju (62), alabourer staying in the slum area of Eluru, saw a six-year-old girl passing in front of his house yesterday night between 9 pm and 9.30 pm.

Allegedly, he lured her into his house with a chocolate and molested the minor girl, he said.

The girl informed her mother who noticed injuries, he said.

The police arrested him today and registered a case under the Nirbhaya Act. Further investigation is on.
