63 U'khand villages to be electrified before Diwali

All the 63 villages of Uttarakhand which do not have access to electricity will be electrified before Diwali this year.

Energy Secretary Radhika Jha issued an order to this effect to the Uttarakhand Electricity Corporation, the Rural Electrification Corporation and other institutions concerned at a meeting here today.

The target of electrifying all the 63 villages of the state must be achieved before Diwali this year, an official release quoted her as saying.
