65-yr-old man commits suicide

A 65-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his home in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police said today.

Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Noorkha village, consumed some poisonous substance at his home and died at Soura Medical institute here yesterday, they said.

The motive behind Qadir taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, they said, adding a case has been registered and investigations are on.
