Seven persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of local tough Srinu Naidu and his accomplice V Dharma here in West Midnapore district, a senior police official said today.
The seven arrests were made in the last two days while four others were still absconding, SP Bharati Ghosh said, adding all these 11 were main accused in the daring murder on January 11.
Police also recovered firearms from the arrested persons who were picked up from Ghatal and Jhargram areas of the district.

The persons who arranged the vehicle to transport the assailants, plotted the murder, supervised the operation were among the arrested ones, the officer said, adding two contract killers were also among the seven arrested.
Old enmity between mafia gangs could be the reason for the incident, the SP said, adding police were also probing the political conspiracy angle.
Two of the seven arrested were Sanjoy Prasad and Krishna Rao, one time close confidants of Srinu, who were later at loggerheads over real estate spoils.
Srinu and Dharma died while three others were seriously injured when miscreants fired at them inside the TMC Councillor's office at Kharagpur on January 13.
The two along with three other TMC workers were sitting inside the TMC office at Nayakhuli locality of Kharagpur when the attack took place on them.
