They said that the accident occurred this morning near Dhakal village in Narwana sub-division of this district.
The dead included four men, two women and a child, police said, adding the victims were travelling in a Multi Utility Vehicle.
The injured persons were referred to PGIMER at Chandigarh.
Police said that the area where the accident occurred was blanketed by fog and visibility was low.
