At least seven people were killed and nearly 50 injured today when an over-crowded bus plunged about 50 metres down the road in eastern Nepal.
The bus, with some 70 passengers aboard, veered off the hilly road at Gairathok in Ramechhap district, some 300 kilometres east of national capital Kathmandu.
The bus was heading towards Gothgaun from the district headquarters Manthali.

Police said the passengers were rescued with the help of local people.
The cause of the accident could not be immediately known.
