7 killed, over 40 injured as two trucks collide

Seven persons were killed and over 40 persons injured in a collision involving two trucks in Haryana's Sirsa district early today.

The accident took place near a village in Sirsa when one of the vehicles, carrying pilgrims from Punjab, was headed towards Gogamedi, a religious place in Rajasthan.

Sirsa SP Satender Kumar said most of the deceased were men.

Police said the injured have been hospitalised.
