7 returning after 'Ramnavmi' celebrations die in road mishap

Seven people, including four women, died and two injured in a collision between an overcrowded autorickshaw in which they were returning after attending Ramnavami festival and a lorry in Sunday, police said.

The accident occurred near Kodad town in district when the speeding autorickshaw tried to overtake a vehicle, resulting in the head-on collision.

The victims were returning to their native Kodad after participating in the Ramnavami celebrations at a Lord Ram temple in Tammara village in the district.
