Eight shopkeepers were arrested in south-west Delhi for allegedly selling cheap mobile phones with memory cards and chips loaded with porn clippings to entice customers, police said today.
The arrests from Kapashera came after police found about the circulation of blue films on mobile phones through memory cards easily available in the market.
The locality where the arrests are made have a large population who live in rented accommodation and many of them were not able to visit their families at native places for months for months and majority of them are staying alone owing to poor socio-economic conditions, police said.

"One could get excited and look for an opportunity to pacify one's lust. In such conditions, children being the soft target and easily found are victimised by such viewers," he said.
Following investigations and raids, eight shopkeepers - Amit Gupta (22), Mohd Nasim (32), Murshid Alam (27), Guddu (24), Ajay Singh (18), Ajay Kumar (19), Rupesh (25) and Sonu Khan (20) were apprehended.
Electronic gadgets, including laptops, card readers, memory cards, desktops and CPUs, used in the distribution of the obscene material in the form of blue films have also been confiscated, police said.
