8 killed in bus-tanker coalition in Pak

At least eight persons were killed and 11 others injured today when a passenger bus collided with a tanker in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province.

The incident took place in Khuzdar district of the province. The Karachi-bound bus rammed into the tanker which was coming from the opposite direction, Dawn reported.

The injured people include women and children who were rushed to nearby hospitals where an emergency was declared. The dead bodies were shifted to the hospital.

According to the prima facie investigations, the driver of the bus lost control due to over speeding which resulted in the vehicle getting collided with the tanker coming from the opposite direction, officials said.
 

Officials cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the case.
