8-year-old boy's body found in sack

An 8-year-old boy's body was found in a sack near Putha Marg area here, with the police suspecting that he was sodomised before being murdered.

Harsh, son of a security guard, was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon on his head and ear. Besides, his neck bore strangulation marks, a district police spokesperson said today.

The boy had been missing since Friday following which his family members lodged a missing person's complaint yesterday, he said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is on, police said.
