82-mm mortar shell defused in Samba

A tragedy was averted in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir as police recovered an unexploded mortar shell from a field.

The 82-mm shell was found lying in the field today and was later defused by the bomb disposal squad of police, an officer said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation started to find from where the mortar shell originated.
