9 held for burning Pak flag

Nine activists of 'Hindu Ilaignar Ezhuchi Peravai" were arrested for allegedly burning Pakistan's flag here today, police said.

The activists were holding a demonstration against Pakistan during which they set fire to a flag of the neighbouring country, they said.

Nine persons were arrested for various offences under IPC including joining unlawful assembly and disobedience to order promulgated by public servant, police added.
