9 IPS officers transferred in WB

Nine IPS officers, including two SPs, were today transferred by the West Bengal government.

Amitabha Maiti, additional SP (headquarters) of West Midnapore district, will be the new SP of Jalpaiguri district in place of Akash Magharia who has been transferred to CID, according to a notification by the home department.

V Solomon Nesakumar, deputy commissioner (traffic), Kolkata, will be the new SP of Coochbehar in place of Sunil Kumar Yadav who will now be with the Kolkata traffic police.

Besides nine IPS, four other WBPS officers were also transferred.
