9 students electrocuted in Rajasthan

Nine students of a school were today injured when they came in contact with an iron gate carrying electric charge in Ghadi Chaola village here, police said.

The incident took place after a minor fire damaged the electrical distribution panel of the school and current ran through electric equipment, iron gates and other conducting material, police said.

The injured, who are students of class VIII and IX, were rushed to the district hospital where their condition is stated to be stable, they added.
