9-yr-old girl killed, two injured as wall collapses in school

A nine-year-old girl was killed, while two other girls were injured, when the wall of a private school collapsed here today, the police said.

The deceased and the two injured girls were students of the school, located in the Ayodhya Nagar area of the district, they added.

The incident took place in the morning.

The deceased girl was identified as Monica (9), a Class 3 student, the police said.

Additional Superintendent of Police B C Dubey said the two injured girls were admitted to a community health centre.

The police as well as the district administration were looking into the incident, he said, adding that a strict action was likely to be initiated against the school management.
