A total 900 school children and 50 teachers were today sent on a study tour to Delhi and Agra under "Mukhya Mantri Saikhshanik Bharman" (Chief Minister's Educational Tour) scheme.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das flagged of the special train carrying them, an official release said here.
The teachers will guide the students about history, culture and monuments during the tour, it said.
Launching the scheme, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said along with studies and sports, tours are also necessary for intellectual development.
Stating that the scheme was launched for total intellectual development of children, the chief minister said that students should know about the country.
