Indian Floorball Federation today announced that ninth National floorball Championship will be held from January 27, at Thyagraj Stadium, here.
Prabhat Kumar, Chairman of the Indian Floorball Federation said that 1200 players in 60 teams from 20 states will compete in the three-day indoor Championship.
The game is played on a wooden or rubber mat floor or just a basketball court and is popular in countries such as Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The International Floorball Federation was granted full recognition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in July 2011.
Indian Floorball Federation got affiliation from the International Floorball Federation in 2012.
