A Ajay Kumar is new Ambassador to Iraq
The government today appointed senior IFS officer A Ajay Kumar as India's next Ambassador to Iraq.
Kumar, a 2001-batch IFS officer, is currently serving as Counsellor at India's mission in Tehran.
The government has also appointed 1986-batch IFS officer Anumula Gitesh Sarma, currently Ambassador to Uzbekistan, as next High Commissioner to Fiji.
