The first look of Aamir Khan's upcoming film "Dangal" has been unveiled and it features a gritty looking face of the superstar emerging from a seemingly muddy wrestling pit.
Aamir, 49, who is currently shooting for the film in Ludhiana, took to Twitter and shared the first look, which said, "Aaj se Dangal shuru."
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who earlier helmed "Bhoothnath Returns" and co-directed "Chillar Party".
The biographical drama will feature the "PK" actor as a wrestler named Mahavir Singh Phogat. Aamir has gained over 20 kgs to play the role of the wrestler father.
The music of "Dangal" is composed by Pritam, who gave music for the actor's 2013 blockbuster "Dhoom 3".
Produced by Aamir, Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, "Dangal" is scheduled to release in Christmas 2016.
