AAP appoints several new faces in its youth wing

The Aam Aadmi Party today revamped its youth wing by appointing several new faces, including Ankush Narang as the president, to further strengthen the party's frontal organisation.

It appointed Belal Ahmed, Mukesh Solanki, Pankaj Kumar and Nitish Raghuvanshi as vice-presidents of AAP's Youth Wing (AWY).

The party also appointed several of its old-time volunteers at key posts in this frontal organisation, including Shail Gautam, who has been with the party since its inception and handled campaigning of Kumar Vishwas, as the president of AWY in Seelampur district.

Similarly, it appointed Vikas Yogi, who played a key role in handling the media wing during the polls as its spokesperson.
 

The development is significant as several of its frontal youth wing leaders were elected as MLAs in the Delhi Assembly polls.

For instance, the women's wing was headed by Bandana Kumari, who is now the deputy speaker, Jarnail Singh, AAP MLA from Tilak Nagar, headed the youth wing and Praveen Kumar Deshmukh, AAP MLA from Jangpura headed all the frontal organisations, Sarita Singh, head of AAP's student wing was elected as legislator from Rohtas Nagar.

Most of these MLAs have been appointed as parliamentary secretaries.

All these frontal organisations played a major role in ensuring the party's victory in Delhi Assembly elections by mobilising people from different strata of the society.

Sources said the party will appoint new faces in several of these frontal organisations as it intends to strengthen its base in the national capital.
