Abandoned bag at airport creates flutter

An abandoned bag at the parking lot at the airport here created a flutter for some time today.

Acting on a tip off from a person that a bag was lying in the parking lot and might contain explosives, a police team along with bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot.

However a check revealed that the bag was empty, police said, adding that the caller himself might have played a prank after placing it in the parking lot.

Efforts are on to trace the caller, they said.
