Abandoned newborn girl gets shelter

The District Red Cross Society turned the saviour for a newborn girl who was abandoned in a Pangoora (cradle) by some unknown persons here today.

The moment the baby was found in the cradle, the authorities swung into action and shifted the baby to hospital where it was declared safe, officials said.

The girl child has been shifted to the Shishu Grah Trust, Nari Neketan, Nakodar Road at Jalandhar.
