Abducted youth rescued, three held

A 20-year-old youth, allegedly abducted from Vijay Nagar area, was rescued today and three kidnappers arrested.

Acting on a tip off, Bharat Bhati was rescued and the three kidnappers identified as Pawan, Ashfaq and Rohit were arrested near the Jal Nigam crossing area, police said.

Gyani, who was yet to be arrested, hatched the conspiracy to kidnap Bharat, for which he took the help of Pawan, Ashfaq and Rohit, they said.

According to police, Gyani (25) was annoyed with Bharat for interacting with his girlfriend.

Bharat, a resident of Vijay Nagar, was kidnapped from near his residence by three armed youths yesterday.
 

"We got information that Pawan, Ashfaq and Rohit were coming to Jal Nigam Crossing area. We laid a trap and arrested them and rescued Bharat," said a senior police officer.
