Abdullahs bereaved

The aunt of Union Minister Farooq Abdullah passed away in Mumbai after a brief illness, a National Conference spokesman said here today.

The body of Benjie Nedou, maternal aunt of Abdullah, was brought here and laid to rest at Tangmarg graveyard, 45-km from here, he said.

Abdullah, his son and Chief Minister Omar, brother Mustafa Kamal and a large number of people attened her funeral prayers.

Rich tributes were paid to the departed soul at a condolence meeting held at the party headquarters here.
