An accused in two murder cases, who was on the run and carrying a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was arrested today by the Delhi Police.
Eble Hassan (35), who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested this morning by the police which laid a trap after it received a tip-off that he would be coming to Kanti Nagar, Nala Road near Bhooteshwer Mandir.
"Hassan, realising that a trap had been laid, jumped off his motorcycle and fired at the police party. He was, however, overpowered and apprehended," a senior police officer said.
Police recovered an English pistol along with five live cartridges from his possession.
