Absconding murder accused held

An absconding murder accused who was carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 for his arrest, was nabbed here, police said today.

Sonu, a resident of Kanarsi who was accused of killing a class ten student in October last year and carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 for his arrest was apprehended yesterday at Dankaur town, they said.

The victim Ashu Balmiki was killed by Sonu over his love affair with a local girl, police said.

A case under relevant sections of IPC had been registered against the accused following the complaint by the victim's parents, they added.
