Absconding undertrail nabbed

An undertrial, who had escaped from police custody when he was being taken to a court hearing, was nabbed at Mathura Jn station today, police said.

Rajveer alias Vijai Yadav, was booked on July 3 on charges of theft, managed to give a slip to two constables-- Hakim Singh and Dinesh, while being taken to the court of ACJM, where he had to be presented today.

"Few constable of Govind Nagar police station, where the undertrial was booked, were also deployed at Mathura Jn station. A constable who had booked him earlier on the charge of stealing some articles and carrying a country made pistol, incidentally nabbed him," Deputy SP Anil Kumar Yadav said.
 

Police from several police stations in the district were deployed to nab him, they said.
