A deputy tehsildar posted with the Civil Supplies department at Gurajala in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh was today trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking Rs 8,000 as bribe.
M V V Narayana Murthy was caught when he was accepting the amount from complainant for not booking a case against a fair price shop of the complainant's wife, an agency release said here.
In another case, J Koteshwara Rao, Secretary, Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha in Srikakulam district was caught when he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs 18,000 as bribe from a complainant for doing an official favour.
Both the cases are under investigation.
