An accomplice of a BSF deserter constable was today arrested and the missing arms and ammunition recovered from him in Punjab, the BSF said.
"Today at about 2 PM, Mukesh of Khulra Kingla, Jalandhar, the accomplice of BSF deserter constable Rajeeb Ranjan was apprehended and one LMG, 10 magazines and 250 rounds were recovered," BSF spokesman said.
The weapon along with ammunition were taken away by the constable, hailing from Ojhaul of Darbangha district in Bihar, after stabbing his colleague constable Raghubir Singh over a petty issue in Akhnoor sector of Jammu on Sunday.

Security forces apprehended Mukesh and Mithun from a residential area of Nakoder Jalandhar while they were waiting for another accomplice, the spokesperson said, adding Mithun was later let off.
He said Ranjan was also in the neighbouring area but managed to escape after sensing police presence.
