Accountant looted of Rs 22 lakh by miscreants

Unidentified miscreants today robbed an accountant of Rs 22 lakh at gunpoint in Kota here, police said.

The incident occurred when two miscreants forcibly entered into the car of firm accountant Gyandev Jain, outside a bank where he had gone to withdraw money, SHO Anantpura Amar Singh said.

The accountant was taken to a secluded spot and robbed at gunpoint by the accused.

The miscreants then fled the scene with an accomplice who was chasing the car on a motorcycle, leaving the victim and his car behind.

"Efforts are on to identity and locate the accused," he added.
