An accused, arrested in connection with waylaying and robbing a person of Rs 1,000 at knife point, has been detained under Goondas Act and lodged in the Central Jail here.
The 25-year-old Goutham had robbed a man in Rathinapuri two days ago and was arrested and lodged in the Jail.
Since he was involved in various cases, including theft of cars and two-wheelers,City Police Commissioner, A K Vishwanathan ordered his detention under Goondas Act, which was served on the accused, police said.
