ACF aims to train 12,000 youths by 2020

Ambuja Cement Foundation today said it aims to train 12,000 youngsters in different skills by 2020 to enhance their employability.

The foundation has trained 5,587 people so far in technical and functional skills through its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (SEDI) in the eastern region - Sankrail and Farakka in West Bengal and Bhatapara in Chhattisgarh - and achieved a 61 per cent placement rate, ACF said in a statement.

"We welcome all kinds of synergies and open to work in partnership with corporates, consulting firms, government agencies, financial institutions, NGOs and training institutes," ACF head Pearl Tiwari said.

Ambuja Cement Foundation is a CSR arm of Ambuja Cement Ltd.
