A BJP member in Lok Sabha today sought stern against those playing "mischief" with the government, citing instances of people claiming to have huge amounts of money to declare under a recent scheme even though they did not have it.
Kirit Somaiya said the government has taken decisions like demonetisation and Income Declaration Scheme to curb black money but some people are doing mischief.
"A family in Mumbai sought to declare Rs 2 lakh crore under Income Declaration Scheme even though they did not have a penny. Some people are doing mischief. The government should take stern action," he said during the Zero Hour.
