Additional district court inaugurated in Kumbakonam

A new additional district -cum fast track court was today inaugurated here.

Madras High Court Judge Justice S Nagamuthu delcared open the court at a function here.

This is part of 10 additional district courts announced by the state government.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Nagamuthu said the court had been set up with a view to reach justice to all.

He recalled that Kumbakonam had a district court from 1806-1863.

Thanjavur District Judge N.Balasubramanian and Chief Judicial Magistrate V.Thenmozhi were among those present.
