Adit Infratel, a mobile accessories maker, today said it has set up India's first lithium polymer embedded battery manufacturing facility at Manesar, Haryana with an investment of Rs 25 crore.

The unit, spread over 10,000 sq ft, has an installed capacity of 60,000 mobile batteries and 20,000 mobile chargers per day.

"With the commencement of Manesar facility, the combined manufacturing capacity of Adit Infratel, including the unit at Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh will stand at 95,000 mobile batteries, 25,000 mobile chargers and 4,000 power banks per day," the company said in a statement.

The company aims to generate Rs 335 crore in revenue from the facility over the next 4 years, it added.

"We are one of the largest players in the OEM mobile battery segment and the government's 'Make in India' campaign has provided us with the right impetus to become a dominant player," Adit Infratel Director Sales and Marketing Vikram Kalia said.

The unit at Manesar, which is the first and only lithium polymer embedded battery facility in the country, will allow the company to augment local manufacturing capacity to cater to the exploding demand for smartphones, he added.

"We hope to significantly increase our topline to Rs 335 crore over the next four years by leveraging our existing OEM relationships with leading brands and also forging new ties," he said.

Set up in 1991 as distributors for Panasonic batteries, Adit Infratel manufactures mobile batteries and power banks under the Advent brand.
