Aditi Ashok will have to wait one more day before becoming the first Indian woman to tee off at all five Majors in a single year as the first round of the Evian Championships got rained off today.
The tournament has been reduced to 54 holes.
Heavy rains, high winds and wet course conditions forced cancellation of play for round one today. The weather is expected to be inclement over the coming days.

"While we did not make this decision lightly, we believe that this is the right decision ? to have the fairest, most com?petitive tournament for all players in this field," said LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan.
"We are happy and encouraged with how well the golf course is handling the weather, and it should set up for another amazing Evian finish."
Round one will begin at 7:45 a.M. Tomorrow and Aditi will be among the first to tee off, but from the tenth.
