The Gurgaon district administration has allowed reinstatement of suspended acting principal Neerja Batra of Ryan International School in Bhondsi in another branch of the institute in Gurgaon.

Batra's reinstatement order was issued by the office of the deputy commissioner of Gurgaon. It has given clean chit to her for not having direct involvement in the death of a seven-year-old student.

She would join Ryan International School in Sector 40 here.

"After the death of Pradhuman Thakur, I am an administrator currently of Ryan International School, I have spoken to stakeholders regarding Batra. We have decided to reinstate her in school branch in Sector 40. Now it is the prerogative of the Ryan management to use her service," Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Vinay Pratap Singh said.

Thakur's parents were unhappy with the reinstatement of Batra, who was found guilty of negligence in providing security to students in school.

"The case is being investigated by the CBI and the matter is still in court. Neerja Batra, being the acting principal at the time of my minor son's mysterious murder inside school, is directly responsible for security lapses on September 8. How can she be given clean chit by the Gurgaon administration?" Barun Thakur, father of Pradhuman, told PTI.

Thakur's lawyer Sushil Kumar Tekriwal said, "The order of the Gurgaon DC to reinstate Batra in another school is illegal and we will challenge his move in the next CBI court hearing."

Piya Sharma, the principal of Sector 40 Ryan International School, told PTI, "The Ryan management has decided not to take back Batra in Sector 40 school."

Police arrested school bus conductor Ashok Kumar in connection with the boy's killing.
