Ace Indian cueist Pankaj Advani continued to mesmerise the green baize as he entered the knockout phase of the ongoing SangSom Six-Red World Championship, here.

Coming into the tournament after defending his IBSF 6-Red World Championship title in Karachi last month, Advani took the packed Thai arena by storm, posting a convincing 5-2 win against last year's champion Stephen Maguire of UK.

Earlier today, Bengaluru's 'Golden Boy' whitewashed Alan Trigg 5-0, leaving himself in contention to top his group with one league match left before the knockout stage starts.

In between, Advani was also able to cue past another dangerous and established professional from China, Liang Wenbo 5-1.
