: About 100 advocates of the court staged a demonstration here today, condemning the attack on two women advocates, allegedly by local CPI(M) functionaries recently.
The advocates, led by the two women lawyers, Chitra Kala and Meenakumari, alleged that the functionaries were holding Kangaroo courts and resorting to illegal means of resolving various disputes, besides defaming them and instigating caste conflicts.
They also demanded the false cases filed against the women advocates be withdrawn.
They charged that the CPM functionaries were spreading false propaganda against the advocates.
