Aftershocks of a powerful earthquake epicentred in Nepal were felt in some parts of Kochi today, triggering panic among people residing and working in high rise buildings, officials said.
Aftershocks were felt soon after the quake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale at around 12:35 PM epicentred in Nepal, shook North India and panic-stricken people were seen rushing out of high rise buildings in Panampilly Nagar area of city.
Officials said no damage to property was reported anywhere in the city.

Lawyers, who were attending the sitting of the Judicial Commission probing the Solar Panel scam, said they felt a low intensity tremor during a hearing at the Commission's office at a high rise building in Panampally Lane.
"Our team is closely monitoring and studying the situation," a top state disaster management official said.
