The Telangana Archaeology Department today reached an understanding with the Aga Khan Trust for conservation and development of the famous Qutub Shahi tombs here.
The Trust would develop the Qutub Shahi tombs by spending Rs 100 crore of its own funds and Rs 98 crore announced by the Centre, a state government release quoted the Tourism and Archaeology Department secretary Burra Venkatesam as saying.
The Trust is reputed for conservation of old monuments, Venkatesam said.
The tombs, built by Qutub Shahi rulers, would be restored to their original glory and developed with attractive gardens, he said.
