Agriculture supervisor arrested for taking bribe

An agriculture supervisor was arrested today for allegedly accepting a bribe at his head office here.
Sleuths of anti-corruption bureau arrested Kunj Behari Mathur while he was allegedly accepting Rs 15,000 as bribe, an official spokesman said.
"Mathur had demanded Rs 50,000 from a person for verification of stock registers having seed and fertilisers data and the deal was settled at Rs 15,000," the spokesman said.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against him.
